Wayne lives in the Manchester suburbs with his older brother and siblings.
He suffered a stroke at the age of 48, resulting in extensive brain damage. He has had a serious form of aphasia known as ‘global aphasia’ since that time. Wayne is unable to make understandable words and hears very little spoken language. His reading and writing abilities were nearly non-existent.
