John was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease two years ago He lives in Dublin, Ireland, with his wife. He does not exhibit any symptoms of dementia, but he does have moderate cognitive impairments (short term memory loss). His motor functions (rigidity, as manifested by joint tension and elevated muscle tone) and, to a lesser degree, his voice have both been impacted by the disorder (very soft and identified as hypophonia).
