Eric was born with a rare disease called Infantile-onset ascending hereditary spastic paralysis. This caused the apearance of severe spasticity of the lower limbs on early age, progressing to the upper limbs in childhood. He has also dysarthria and dysphagia but his cognitive function is completely preserved. Eric has a power wheelchair that allows him to frequent university and practice bocce. He loves to watch movies and sports events.

Capacities to support

The severe muscle stiffness and the dysarthria don’t allow Eric to produce sounds or speak.
