Nikolaos, who lives in Nicosia, Cyprus, was in a serious traffic crash when he was 19 years old. He remained in a coma for 5 months and suffered permanent neurobiological injury as a result. He recovered fully from the back injury he suffered in the same crash. Nikolaos has difficulties expressing and being heard (expressive aphasia), and he sometimes has blurred vision.
